Package List: 2 * ME-8108 Limit Switch INFORMATION The ME-8108 Limit Switch, or limit switch, is a device placed at the end of the travel of a moving mechanical part, such as a robot arm, or to activate a safety stop on a door. It is widely used in industrial environments. What is it used for? Limit switches are used in machinery control as part of a control system, for safety measures, interlocks, or for counting objects that pass a specific point. They are electromechanical devices consisting of an actuator mechanically linked to a set of contacts. When an object comes into contact with the actuator, the limit switch operates the contacts to break or make an electrical connection. Specifically regarding the ME-8108 limit switch, it consists of an actuating lever that can be adjusted 360° along its axis, as well as its length. As mentioned previously, this type of switch is used in industrial environments, so the ME-8108 is equipped with protection against liquids (IP65) such as water or oil, as well as dust or dirt. The ME-8108 has one normally open (NO) contact and one normally closed (NC) contact, which can operate at up to 5A and 250VAC.
